I HAD a dual boot system (XP Pro, Vista Ultimate). The XP Pro portion has failed and must be reinstalled. Vista still works, but browsing indicates that the best procedure is to install XP first, and then Vista, so I plan to reinstall both operating systems. (COMMENTS?) The first time I did this I ran into a hornet's nest of booting problems and it took days to sort it out. So I need advice on the best, cleanest way to do this install. Most info is on how to add one OS to another pre-existing OS, but it occurs to me there may be things I can do from the git-go (partitions, etc) that will make the whole process less painful. Can you point me to a step by step that will guide me? Thanks a lot.
