The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. New system keeps crashing

PC keeps crashing
Hi

I am having a problem with a new pc (Specs Below). Everything appeared to be working fine, and the last piece of software i installed was JAVA.

I imaged the system, shut it down, went to bed.

The next morning the system would not load past the XP screen just kept rolling.

Went into safe mode had a look around and thought i would try and do a system restore to before i installed java.

Success, i was running again.

The next day i installed a program from the ATO (Australian tax office) which included a java install. (please no jokes about the tax dept  )

And again i had to do a system repair.
