Install script for IP-based Network Printer, drivers as well?

Currently the issue is we have two subnets at the office.  On one of those subnets are our printers, and the other subnet has users that need to access those printers.  I've done the router configuration so I can access the printers fine from both subnets.  My question is about an auto install script.

Does anyone know a script that can be manually run, that installs our IP based printers on the network?  When I tried manually I believe it made me also manually install the driver for the printer.  How can I set up something to install the 3 network printers and the drivers along with them?  I'd like to avoid having them hosted on a Windows Server as I prefer a permanent connection as opposed to one that has to be logged into every time.

Use the Add Printer Wizard in the SBS Console under Printers. It will take care of absolutely everything.
The users should pickup the new printer settings when the SBS setup script runs when they log in.
Was the http://mysbs/connectcomputer wizard used to add the workstations to the domain?

The computers I'm connecting to these printers are not logging into our domain.  We reserve our domain for the in house staff and the computers I am talking about would be accessed by contractors in the building.  So we specifically do not allow them access to the domain, but are giving them access to the printers.

Basically we have two subnets at our work.  One for staff members (part of the domain), and another subnet for contractors that come into the building.  We want to give access to the Network Printers we have hosted on our Print Server to the contractors without having to join them to the domain and buy additional windows CALs.  What would be the best practice way to do this?  Connect them directly to the printers via IP address and use Postscript drivers so they spool?  Or is there another way to accomplish this that I am not tihnking of.
hi Daniel,

Did you look at the script I posted. It sounds like it will do pretty much what you want with a little modification. It has a config to include the drivers. Roughly how many computers that aren't joined to the domain do you need to add printers onto?
70 or so.  Yeah..  I'll test the script using one of our printers, if I can get this to work I can just throw a link up on our intranet site and let people install it themselves.
Is it true that you have to use Postscript drivers otherwise spooling won't work with a direct connection to an IP based network printer?
Ok let me know how it works. As far as postscript drivers, no you should not need to. When you use the add printer wizard to create a local port to add printers it will ask for the printer drivers, always works fine for me using the manufacturer drivers. Putting it on the intranet site should work well as long as the users have permissions to install printers, which they might not since I think IP printers are usually added as Machine-wide printers verus User-based printers, but give it a shot with one printer to test etc.

You could find a simpler script that just adds the printer and on your intranet site put a separate link for each printer.
The computers in question are actually owned by the contractors and they are administrators of their own computer.  This is why I have them on an isolated subnet not connected to the domain, but at the same time would like to give them access to printing.
Luckily Canon comes with a cool Setup tool that lets you add IP printers pretty easily, and all at once. I tried PS drivers and some computers couldn't print at all.  I went back to PCL5e and they seem to be working fine.  I hope theres no issues with printing directly to IP printers using PCL5e.
