what basic USER programs comprise the WinXP-Home or PRO?
I am embarrassed to admit I am not a NooB, but its been so long that I completely forgot the components that come with WinXP!!!!
I have to buy an emergency system for a family member TODAY!!!!!. A Really bare bones refurbished unit, Under $400! It will come with WinXP-Pro installed. Can I expect to see Outlook Express, Internet Explorer 6(7?) and some version of media player already installed as part of the OS.
This person will just be checking mail, surfing and doing some online banking. No printer will be included!

Yes, Windows XP Pro wil contain Outlook Express, Internet Explorer 6, and Media Player. IE can be updated to IE7 and Media Player can be updated to latest version with Windows Updates site.
