DO I have to make it a different partition? I only have 1 set right now and do not have a 64bit program to modify the partition into 2.

Browse All TopicsI am currently running XP Professional 64 bit on my computer at home. I find too many annoyances and need to get some things working again. The easiest thing will be to install XP 32 bit as a dual boot so when I need to run a program that has 64bit issues I can. I just bought a new OEM XP 32 bit off newegg and am now ready to install it as a dual boot. So my question is how do I do this? Will the 32 bit XP see the 64 bit XP and properly set the dual boot or is there a trick to do when the 64 bit OS is the initial one and the new install is the 32 bit?

There is no real trick to doing this. Just be sure to install each OS to a separate partition or drive. The worse case is that you will have to edit the boot.ini file if one of the OSs does not show up in the boot menu.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
