I have two identical PCs in hardware spec. I want to image the installation of XP Pro from one to the other (The licensing is legit). After I restore the image to the new hardware, aside from changing the credentials for joing the domain and IP address etc is there anything else I need to do to make this PC function ok on the network?

Don't forget to change the SID.
There are multiple ways to do this:

as you will be using a key that is already active on a different machine you should change the product key to be a legimate install see here a good tutorial on how to do this

Reactivation is probably neccesary. You can use a sysprep answerfile to automaticly enter a product key.

In your case sysprep would be the best way to avoid problems.

The PC should function alright on network without setting other things as the IP stuffs are given by ISP unless you did set them manually.
