Hi,
Using MS office 2003 SP3 in a Windows XP SP3 platform. While I a trying to use the speach recognition facility in MS Word, I noticed the speach recognition language in Controll panel is "Microsoft English (US) Ver 6.1 recognizer". There is not any othe languages in the drop down menu. Also the settings tab is not enabled. How can I add the English UK option. Do I need to purchase any aditional licence or anything. I am attaching the screen shot of the controll panel. Please Advice.

English US is the only variant available. From Microsoft -
This feature is available in the Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English (U.S.), and Japanese language versions of Microsoft Office 2003 and in the Simplified Chinese, English (U.S.), and Japanese language versions of Microsoft Office XP.

To prevent this happening ensure that the normal.dot template is set to your dictionary of choice as follows:
1) Open a new Microsoft Word document
2) Cut and paste some text into it from anywhere
3)Click on Tools>Language?Set Language & select 'English (UK)''
4) WHILE 'English (UK)' is highlighted AND the 'Detect language option automatically' is selected, click the Default button.
You will nowget a message saying the template.dot template will be changed and all new docs will henceforth use the UK dictionary as the default.
