Backup Software for XP/Vista Clients

Hello

I m already using Backup-Exec remote agents for server back-up. In the case of XP/Vista clients users have too big outlook pst files ie 4 to 10gb. Backing up all 20 clients every night is taking too much time and require all clients to be waken up.

I m looking for backup a backup solution so that users can backup their datas (outlook pst files and office files) themselves in a few click to a network location without IT support.

I would appreciate if you share info about what other IT gurus are doing :)

You might want to try looking into using SyncBack:

They have a free version and paid versions. The interface is pretty easy to use.

Hi!

One program that I can recomend is Iron Mountain Connected.
This is a really simple program for users to use. One click backup, the way it's suposed to be ;-)

Forgot to write this in the first post.

When I worked at Tetra Pak, all the users used this program. In Lund (Sweden), where I worked, there were about 3500 empolyes, and we only got about 10 questions a year concerning this program!!

Backing-up online 4Gb files would require lot of bandwith which I dont have ... I need solutions like other experts mentionned above

Okay, I see what you mean. I read to quick =P
One option is to use Windows builtin backup utility, and create a normal backup once every week and an Incremential backup the other days, but I don't know how well this works with the big pst files...

When you say "backing up to a network location" do you mean a 100mb lan or something that have to travel over the internet?

I read further on Iron Mountains webpage and discovered that you can backup directly to a server on the network and not their servers.
