Group Policy Preferences in XP RSOP

Hi there,
Is there anyway to view the Group Policy Preferences in XP?
When i run rsop.msc on my machine, the preferences dont show up? I know it is receiving them because i can see the power setting changes.
I was just wondering what you are supposed to use to see what changes have been affected by the preferences on the xp machine.
Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your time.
Kind Regards

How many GPO's do you have that are suppoosed to be applied to the computer?

WHen you run RSOP.msc, there is a column that shows the GPO from which the policy is configured.  Do you see all of your various policies listed?

Hi Nappy_d,
If i run rsop on the xp machine, all the policies display correctly and are there. The problem is the Windows 2008 preferences dont show up.
Just wondering how i can see 'Preferences' that have applied to the machine: eg mapped drives, scripts, power settings etc.

Kind Regards
did u set the policy to apply and not just read on the permissions tab?
Hi nappy,
Thanks for helping us out with this. The problem isn't that the policies aren't applying, the problem i have is benig able to see what preferences have applied to the xp machine.
If I run rsop, i can see the computer and user policies which have come down but rsop doesn't show the preferences from Server 2008.
Eg. Under User Configuration - i have 3 folders - Software Settings, Windows Settings and Administrative Templates.
According to Windows 2008, there should be another folder called Preferences. They have separated the policies and preferences.

I just want to know how i can see on XP the preferences that have applied.

I hope this makes sense.

Cheers
if you have a vista machine on the network you can use RSAT

This helped me find what i was looking for but i was hoping for an easier approach just like rsop. I guess Microsoft hasn't made one for XP 2008 preferences.
Thanks for your help everyone. Really appreciate it.
