Cannot multiple select using CTRL in Windows XP

I have a user that can no longer do a multiple select using the CTRL key.  Specifically, she is trying to select multiple files to attach to an email in her corporate Gmail account.  I log in as her from my location and it works, so I'm assuming this is a Windows issue, since she's trying to select from a Windows file folder box which pops up when she clicks "attach file".  She can no longer SHIFT select multiple files either.

Does it work for anyone else on HER pc where the problem resides? If so, I would go ahead and rename the local copy of her profile, and log her in to rebuild it..... If the subsequent test works ok, then just migrate her files and preferences over.....

Profile corruption is one area of troubleshooting where it is easier to start from scratch, than try and pinpoint the failure.... You could spend weeks trying to isolate it.....

This is an existing user with a brand new profile...we just went to a new server last week and copied everyone over to new roaming profiles.  I logged in as myself and tried, and it still won't allow via IE/Gmail.

I just tried going through Windows Explorer and it works.  Maybe it's an IE thing?
Make sure sticky-keys isn't turned on in accessibility options.

Try running Dial-a-fix (http://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Dial-a-fix#Mirrors.2Fdownload_locations.2C_and_articles), check all checkboxes under the "Registration center" section, and click "GO".

Increasing the point value :)
Hmm, have you logged onto her computer and seen it yourself? Or was is only from your location?
It could be an add-on that is messing things up.  Have you tried it with Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), which you will find on your Start Menu under All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools.  If this works, then you can troubleshoot your normal IE connections by selecting Tools menu -> Manage Add-ons -> Enable or disable Add-ons.

Yep, I was in the office yesterday and logged in to do the Dial-A-Fix, and it still wasn't working through IE.  Also, I opened IE with no add-ons, and there still remains the problem.
Yeah, I don't know why I asked that question. Anyway, have you tried opening the internet options, clicking the "Advanced" tab, and clicking "Reset..."?

I tried "Reset", nothing.  I also tried going into Gmail settings and clicking "Basic attachment" option, doing an attachment, and then going back and setting it back to "Advanced attachment" (which allows multiple selection.)  This is very frustrating, she was just able to do this, and this is a feature she needs more than anyone in the office (figures.)

Yes, BINGO!!  I updated Flash and it works!

I downloaded the Windows Flash Player 10 ActiveX control content debugger (for IE) (EXE, 2.03 MB)

Thanks!
