  • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How do I get a SATA driver for a Gateway MX8734 to install Windows XP Pro

I am performing a clean install of Windows XP Pro using a Microsoft Windows XP Pro disk, during install I receive an error indicating there is no hard drive.  The hard drive works with other software such as WD Diagnostic, HDclone.  I have tried using a Windows XP Pro CD SP1 as well as a Windows XP Pro OEM SP2 CD it appears they don't have the SATA driver I need for the installation of Windows XP Pro.  Where can I get the SATA drive to copy to floppy and install during the Windows XP Pro installation?  The Gateway website is totaly useless, I contacted them via email still waiting for answer
