I cant run memtest from cd. If I try putting the drive in another computer with it set to slave, it over rides the booting OS (win 7) and still tries to boot to xp and gives me same bsod. Customer does not have any backups. The only thing I could do, was, when the drive was in another computer, I could boot that computer with UBCD4WIN and read the 4 partitions of the drive. computerchuck

I was able to put the drive in another computer and run check disk. I Have not put in back in its own case yet.
Without the hard drive in the computer I was able to boot to memtest cd, which I could not do with the hard drive in. I have been running memtest 86 today.
As soon as I have it back in I will try to do a XP repair over an install.
