Xp and slow loading Icons in one user profile

I have a nachne that appears to be clean as far as bugs.  I initially noticed that when one user profile loaded it took a very long time for the desktop icons to appear.

So I created a new profile for this user and copied all of the old user folders to the new user per MSK instructions.

This morning I boot the machine and its doing the same thing on the profile I created.

Any thoughts?

Dont know, will try.  ALso BTW it does not appear to do this when other users are loaded.

Does that user have many large sized files on their desktop?
If so, try moving them to their My Documents or elsewhere and creating shortcuts.
Try running MalwareBytes (malwarebytes.org) as that user.

Have run MB, found minor issues and resolved.  Running NAV now, so far nothing.  No large files on desktop.

What is really odd is that after creating the new user profile and copying over it all worked fine on reboots.  Then this morning it did it again as far as long wait time for icons to display.

How big is this Profile Size?

What about the speed to get TO the desktop when the icons load?

UPDATE:

No viruses or bugs.  Once the computer has started and the icons load, if I restart the machine and choose the same user the icons load.  But If I turn the machine off and walk away and come back seberal hours ;ater once I turn on and it get to the desktop background, there ar no icons for about 3 minutes.  

I have disabled everything in msconfig and it is the same.
