Thanks, but no, DPI was already set to 96. When you think about it, if that setting had inadvertently been altered, it would have affected the entire desktop, which -- as I mentioned -- was not the case.
Since I couldn't find a way to target this particular snafu, I wound up just doing a system restore to the day before I installed the offending taskbar toolbar. At least that worked.

Right click on the desktop -> Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> and check that DPI is still 96 DPI. If not, set it back to 96 DPI and see what happens. ... Thinkpads_User
