Save it as flashsound.reg to your desktop. Right-click on the file and select "merge" to merge it into the registry.

Reboot and test

I apologize for the delay.  I registered the HKey items and I have not gotten any sounds yet.  My Creative Boston Live speakers had a broken AC Adapter, so I decided to order one before I continued trying to solve this sound problem.  I now have the Boston speakers connected, but no sound yet.

Any further suggestion?

Is there a way to undo the merging of the setting you suggested.  I am thinking that one of these settings has my sound blaster tied up.

Do you have any sound at all?

In Volume control, make sure all inputs for playback are up and unmuted (Wave, Dynth, etc).

Make sure you can see all inputs (Control Panel - Sounds and Audio devices - Volume - Advanced - Options - properties -  Playback - Show the following volume controls

To undo, a system restore to a point prior is the easiest. If the list existed with different values and you didn't export them first, it is the only way. If you want to remove the subkeys completely, see the second part of this  this from Microsoft -
Deleting Registry Keys and Values
To delete a registry key with a .reg file, put a hyphen (-) in front of the RegistryPath in the .reg file. For example, to delete the Test subkey from the following registry key:

put a hyphen in front of the following registry key in the .reg file:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Test
The following example has a .reg file that can perform this task.

I have not gotten any sounds yet<< is the a global problem on the whole system?
Check first  device manager and audio card is installed with no problems.
Open VIEW at the top and tick to show hidden devices.
I'd say until you can confirm if it is hardware ( speakers) or software )
we'll need to wait for your feedback.

If I remove all of these drivers, what will be the end result, consequence?
I tried researching each of these drivers, as to whether it is safe to remove them, but did not find any definite information.  Then I tried searching for which driver the Driver32 registry needs, but did not find any site.  So I ask you, which ones should I remove?

Can you confirm that any audio/ video is playing using an MP3 in Winamp or a media player with an equalizer that shows a graph.

I am a few days late on this, yet I appreciate your patience and help.

- Do you now have a verified good working set of speakers?

- In device manager, is the correct driver for the sound card installed, and other drivers for soundcards that are not in your system removed?

I will do so tomorrow 8/13.
(I have seen cases where windows automatically detects a soundcard and installs a soundblaster driver (that is before you install the correct drivers), which then ties up the soundcard, but doesn't produce sound)

And of course, next time anyone sends you a .reg file to overwrite dozens of settings, backup your registry (export) first. But you know that now...
