You can download the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows at http://www.ubcd4win.com/ and build it per instructions. Boot up using it then open a command prompt within it's operating system to run this command.... chkdsk/r
It should repair any bad sectors and what not. If that does not work, use the registry fix wizard built into it and as a last resort you can reinstall Windows over it using the repair option.
Note: The repair option NOT the repair console which is prompted immediately upon starting.
