The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

C000021a fatal system error in WIN XP pro sp2

Asked by niceoneishere in Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Hello Experts,

I have just installed a clean install of win xp sp2 on my dell vostro 1500. it worked fine for 2 days, but this morning when i started computer , it starts and as soon as i c my desktop, i get a blue screen saying this message:

"c000021a fatal system error, the windows subsytem process terminated unexpectedly - 0x7c9101b3 0x0069f28c"

the dumping process started ... and it does that restarts and does the same again.

I have already did repair install of xp. after when i started the system and logged in under my user name, i get the same error again.

so i decided to see if i can login using safe mode. and thats when i discovered some pretty strange issue. here i will explain in detail.

first: If i use administrator account and login in the safe mode... it works and one Local Disk ( C: ) in My Computer.

second; If i use my user account ( Tammu) whose has admin rights and login in safe mode... it works but unde My Computer i see 2 Local Disks ... namely C and E.

The Local Disk( E) has icon with a drive that has a red circle over it with a white question mark in the red circle. if i right click on it and select properties, it shows used space 0 and free space 0.

i have no idea how i have 2 local disks.

i have an external Western Digital Hard Drive , but i set it up to show as (T) under disk management and it works fine.

please can some one help me out. I appreciate it.
