I wish to lock a folder on my desktop with only authorized users can open it. I also wish to monitor the users' last log in date and time. Is there any possible ways to make it happens? Thank you.

I don't really understand about the domain. Is it means that the above solution applies only for last log in to the internet?
"domain is the word for the entire network famil
when you log in at the ctrl alt delet screen you have a user name box, a password box and then below that a domain box
the name in that domain box is the name of your domain.
i am assuming you are using a windows with active directory structure?"
Thanks a lot slam69! Frankly speaking I have zero knowledge about computer systems and so on. I'm actually a Physisc grad who is somehow asked by my lecturer to this log in task.

Use NTFS permissioning to secure teh folder allowing only people you want to access it
You can get last log on time for users from Active directory
