Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM in WIndows 2003 server

Hi,
I am using Windows 2003 Server OS in my server, but today suddenly I got a message like 'Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:  \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM' I dont have much knowledge in Windows 2003 server so please bear with me. And I dont want to loose my data in my server, so please help me to do it. As it is server issue I need a very urgent solution please.

turn on the computer, Insert windows server 2003 disc, boot from disc, then repair the operating system from this disc (you must find this option into the disc, but if don't YOU MUST NOT CONTINUE).  this operation will restore all system files.

elbelo, i tried to repair the operating system from the disc by rebooting the system from disc and selecting repair option, after loading files it got restarted and its continuosly restarting thats it.

no problem - glad it worked

Was not sure with it being a server OS hence why I posted the PAQ from EE reference using the hard drives manufacturers diagnostic tools but now that its up and running am guessing you are not getting any orange or yellow or red lights on the raid ?
