No version listed though..... What file exactly are you basing the version on?

Well, I thought there were different Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) versions
I checked the currently installed programs and updates in Add or Remove Programs and I saw the number
9.0.30729.17 that IS my confusion, so If I install Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) from the Url you gave me, will it appear in Add or Remove Programs  such as Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.17?

Also is there any service pack for this?

9.0.21022 is the one I just installed from that link, but Im on Win7 Ult here.. Ill look at my Windows XP box in the am...

Installs the 9.0.2.21022.218.....

The one you are asking about might not be available..... Might be a part of the VS suite from MS, or packaged with some 3rd party apps....

Found these three versions though, in reference only....
