Change Default Program for Context Printing in XP

I'm running IrfanView as my default program for OPENING all TIF documents. I also need it to be my default program for PRINTING all TIF documents. My problem is that when I explore to the folder and right click on the file I want to print, then select print, it uses another application (Sharpdesk Imaging) for printing the document. How do I get it so that context printing like this doesn't open and then print using Sharpdesk Imaging and chooses IrfanView instead? I don't see separate functions in the "Set Program Access and Defaults" for printing vs. opening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools->Folder options->Click "File types" tab->Select TIFF (If it doesn't exist, then add it using "new") and then below where is says "opens with" click Change and navigate to the app location.

There should probably be a "printto" option in the File Types Advanced menu for TIFF files, that you should be able to specify the default action for.....

dexIT: The "opens with" option was already set to "IrfanView" but I tried "changing" it to IrfanView again. Unfortunately, that didn't help. See attached for screen capture.

johnb6767: I don't see a "print to" option in the File Types menu but I don't see an "Advanced" menu either. Again, see screen capture. Am I missing it?

Actually, might be able to just hit "restore" when TIF is highlighted, and then get the Advanced Button Back....

I was able to hit "restore" and then got the Advanced Button. I was able to set default app for open, print and printto functions. I set all functions to IrfanView.

Interestingly enough, all of the icons have now reverted back to a non-IrfanView icon. Also, when I double-click on the file it opens with IrfanView as expected (excellent). HOWEVER, now when I right-click on the file and select "Print", it only OPENS with IrfanView instead of printing it with IrfanView.

Thoughts?

Theres going to be additional syntax needed for that..... Ill help in the AM if no answer by then. Dont have the app installed on this PC...

I'm still hoping that I can right-click on the application and have it print without opening the application. Any thoughts? At least the default application is now right. As a reminder, I've set "open", "print" and "printto" functions.
