XP Scheduled Task

I know I've been in-front of a box with this configuration before, but can't figure how to configure XP's task scheduler to simply "run" the process with out interacting with the desktop or displaying all the batch files routines.  Even though the bat file is start /min'd etc, it's still messy.

I reaaaly don't want to use the system account to run it (which would do the trick) but was hoping there was a way to configure xp's task scheduler service to simply run the jobs, not display them.

Thanks all

OK, I'll bite:  is there a compelling reason why you don't want to use the System account to execute the task?

Security (err, paranoia)  mainly.  I'l like to have a solid audit trail on what process are running etc, and I don't want to be assigning  NT AUTHORITY.  What's the opportunity for hijacking tasks running as system?

What I'd really like to do is delegate a user account with an appropriate privilege to run the scheduled task.   I thought that "allow logon as a service" would get me there, but no dice.

While I admire the author's tendency to be cautious, I think there is sufficient value within this discussion to retain it as a PAQ by flagging http:#37217918 as the accepted answer.  If you want to run a Windows scheduled task and have it remain hidden in the background, this is standard procedure to follow.
