Windows 98 MBR

what do I do to restore the mbr if I installed linux on a second partition and now after removing it want to restore the original mbr back to windows98?

please help me. ive been trying to fix this for 2 weeks... :(((((

try issuing in windows 98 the command fdisk /mbr

if that doesnt work we can try something else

boot to windows 98 from your harddisk or a floppy:
and run fdisk /mbr and reboot the system.

thanks so much that worked.. I can still install linux again in the future right? this doesnt prevent that right?
