Question

cannot delete path is too long

I am having a problem with WINNT. It seems that I deleted a problem folder on D: that was too deep and now my Recyle bin does not work correctly.I can delete from c and the files show up in the Bin but still get the error. Whenever I try to delete something from D though I get the error and it does not appear in the bin.

Just a guess here, have you formatted the main system drive as NTFS after upgrading NT with one of the Service Releases, while the D Drive is still FAT16 from a previous format under the pre-update NT?
