If i understand you right, you switch on your pc and are presented with ntldr not found and are unable to get into your system

You want to be booting from your Windows 2000 cd
choosing r for repair, then c for recovery console
Make sure your prompt says c:\>
Type c:\ if it doesnt
Type copy d:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\ where d:\ is your cd drive
Can find out your cd drive name going through the alphabet until you cd light comes on ie dir e:\ <enter> , dir f:\ <enter> - dir lists contents of drive
Type copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\ where d:\ is your cd drive
Switch off and on machine

Copy the files to the floppy disk :
Boot.ini
NTLDR
Ntdetect.com
Use another computer running Windows 2000.
After booting the system with the floppy disk, copy the three files back to the C:\ drive
Ensure that the boot.ini parameters are correct.
