The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Games Crashing In WinXP after recent upgrade.

I've been having troubles with my games and software, since I moved to WindowsXP, and bought some new hardware. I'm currently running a new Shuttle AK38N-MB, with an Athlon XP 2600 chip, and a 512Mb Kingstone DDR333 memory stick.  I was running Windows 2000 before I got my new hardware, and pretty much all my games and software ran fine. I've heard rumors about DirectX9 and games, and about my motherboard having updates. I've tried looking for updates for my motherboard with no luck. And didn't want to install DirectX8.1 untill I got more info. Just wondering if anyone new of Window$ Updates , or anything that could possibly help me out.
