what i need is some key settings in the registry.
hmm.. i think i didn't make my question very very clear... the auto num lock i want is not when the computer start up. even you did turn on the num lock in bios, Windows will close the num lock at the login screen.
because my password is a numeric string. so i would prefer entering the password with the keypad instead of... you know..

Someone helped me before with the same problem that you are having, and I was able to fix it.

To enable NumLock through the Registry:
* Open Windows' Registry Editor (START > RUN, type "REGEDIT").
*. Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Contro
*. Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2.
2. To enable NumLock using a script, see this MS Knowledgebase article for complete instructions:

Hello itchi-itchi,
Have you checked HKEY_CURRENT_USER also?,
1- Start
2- Run
3- Regedit
4- HKEY_CURRENT_USER
5- Control Panel
6- Keyboard
7- InitialKeyboardIndicators = (2)
1- Start
2- Run
3- Regedit
4- HKEY_USERS
5- Default
6- Control Panel
7- Keyboard
8- InitialKeyboardIndicators = (2)
Have you also made sure that your BIOS Numlock option is set to ON at Power-On.
At start-up you press F2 (Usually) to get into the BIOS settings, it might vary depending on your computer. In the MAIN menu you should see a setting for Numlock at Power-On, change it to ON.
I hope this helps you.

bios usually has a numlock option
to enter bios, shutdown machine and then restart and immediately begin tapping the delete key (possibly a different key depending upon your bios)
