With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Running Win32 Console apps in Real mode DOS

I've got some very simple open source freeware console apps that I'd like to be able to run from a dos floppy.   Somewhere I found a utility that claimed to be able to do this as long as the program had no Dialogue boxes.  I can't find that utility anymore.  Can anyone either:

1)  Find that utility that I found.
2)  Explain how I could recompile the source (I do have full C/C++ source code) so that It works in Real mode DOS.  I don't own any C programming software for DOS (I could get some) but I do have a good knowledge of programming VB and I'm a bit shakey on C.   I could edit the code to work in VB for DOS but it has to run FAST because it does CPU intensive work.
