The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. 100% cpu usage with 650Mh P4

Here we go again people! That blankety-blank griz is back. If you can find the answer to this one I'll be really surprized. I tried every q&a forum I knew of when it first appeared & got bupkus. I'll save you some time & tell you that I've already tried PC Pitstop & about all of it's relatives. I've shut down all the programs I can find. No help. I've done msconfig. Device Manager. Nope! No help. Here's my problem. About 3 mos. ago I turned my computer on & started my "FreeRam" program & was quite surprized to find out that my cpu usage meter was pinned hard on 100%. I started to look for the cause of this problem. After I pounded my head on the proverbial brick wall for many, many fruitless hrs. I surrendered to the suggestion that I had a bad cpu. This is all well & good except that the cpu runs like a brand new one. It's just as fast as ever. Doesn't overheat & makes no peculiar noises. It's a P3 650 mhz /32kb primary memory cache/256kb secondary mem. cache. It's mounted on an unknown mobo with an Intel 82440BX/ZX chipset. The Bios is an Award Software 4.51Pg & I just installed an e-Support Flash bios update abourt a month or so ago. I just printed a report from iEverest & 0ne from Belarc Advisor so I should be able to supply you with specs. The machine is a boxbuilt by me & who knows else before I got it. Let me know what info you need. I'm gonna take a short nap now. Typing novellas is hard work. lol!
