please reply with:
Operating system
DSL modem model #
Route/gateway model# if using.

You can also try the following:
1)go to START menu
2)go to RUN
3)type "cmd" without the quotes, press ENTER
4)a black window pops up, type "ipconfig" without the quotes, press ENTER
5)WRITE DOWN the #'s across from ip address, with the periods
6)Go to the page as shown here:
http://chatal3nabi.com/upload1/pic/dslconfig2.jpg
7)Find the ports you need forwarded ie: pretend you need to forward TCP port 21, and UDP port 21
8)type 21 in both public and private ports
9)verify the RADIO BUTTON is on TCP
10)under Host IP address, type in your IP address as you copied from step #5
a)you can verify your ip at http://www.whatismyip.com
11)Click ADD this settings
12)Repeat for each port that you need forwarded, VERIFY that you have the PROPER TCP or UDP radio button checked as needed.

In addition, some ISPs block certain ports, you can write your congressman about that.

If you can get me the model#s...can probably provide better instructions
Good luck, lmk what happens

for step 7) I mean, read the instructions for you p2p program regarding FIREWALLS/port forwarding,...within this area will be instructions for which ports must be forwarded to work correctly.
these are the ports you must enter here.

hi
i do what u say in virtual server
and get this message in emule
Your 4661 port is not reachable. Please review your network config.

try adding 4661 for UDP as well.
and try rebooting the modem to force the changes, as well as reboot emule
ie; "Save settings/reboot"

Since it is not working, I'd definitely need your modem model#....try looking all over it, there should be a model sticker on there somewhere.
If not, call up your isp, they should be able to tell you the model #.

It'd be very strange if it is not available.

I found this page, and it gives the same instructions:
http://lugdunum2k.free.fr/idreamconnect.html

You'd have to translate it from french to english though..but it's the same thing.

Very odd that it is not working....
If you can go through all of the links in your router config and look for something that says "Port range forwarding"  you may be able to get abc to work.

Hope you can find it by clicking the links, because you're getting very close to it.
Lmk if you can find the router make#

that makes absolutely no sense, because the router must know what ip to forward the ports to, but maybe since it's the dsl modem setup page(not a router), that is why, very interesting, thanks for letting me know, gives me more brain food:)
