Browse All TopicsI have an XP client on a network (XP service pack 2). Auto updates fails at the download point and produces an error 8024402c. I have followed the instructions to resolve the error by typing; proxycfg - d at the cmd prompt this returns: (no proxy settings). I then stopped and strated the auto updates using: net stop wuauserv and net start wuauserv. I then tried the auto updates again with no luck>
Any help much appreciated.

Try IE Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, and ensure you have a valid proxy server in the configuration
