'Copy to' option greyed out

Im try to copy a user profile to be a default profile on XP pro but the option is greyed out - eg.

right click my comp > advanced > user profiles,settings button > I highlite the profile I want but copy to is greyed out.

Hi Tonywbb,
Logon as administrator and then copy another user profile, for example john profile. logoff then logon as john and copy administrator. john in this case has to be part of the administrators group.
you can't copy your own profile.

actually you will need to restart the PC before you try what fm250 has mentioned if 'administrator' has logged on to the PC since the last restart.  The reason that the OS will still have certain files open within the profile, thus not allowing you to copy it.  A restart of the PC will resolve this.

so, restart, log on as another user with local admin rights, then copy the profile.

Probably the reason why the" Copy to" option is
is greyed out is because you are trying to copy
your own profile which is impossible!You should
log in as different user say administrator,then copy
the the profile you want to copy.This way the "copy
to" option won't be greyed out.
