Description:
The description for Event ID ( 4 ) in Source ( CimNotify ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event:"ip address of my mail server"
As you can see there is no link to Microsoft.I searched the internet (Microsoft as well) for an answer, all in vain.
What does this error mean on this server?
Please tell me How do I use the /AUXSOURCE switch?
Regards

According to this posting: http://www.eventid.net/dis
"In my case, this error was caused by an invalid SMTP server address configured for a Compaq server's event notification service. The SMTP address was actually valid but required secure authentication, which is not supported in this application. Changing the SMTP server address to an open server that does not require authentication made these messages go away. "
