Cannot find a file saved from an email attachment.

normal, this is the temp IE folder, normally used only by the application for temp stuff; therefore it is hidden.
change yr display settings in explorer preferences to make hidden folders visible and you'll be able to access it.
if kelly-service is a server and not pc, this must be done on server, not on yr machine.

Do a Windows Search for the file.  Search computer and any possible network drive that the file could have been saved to. Select option to search hidden files and folders.

Kelly service is a local machine and I have both of these options turned on already.

Hi War1, I know where the file resides because when I do a save as I can see the file in the above location but when I try and browse to this location I cannot see the folder.

I think this might have something to do with windows purposely hiding specific folders even if you have all of the necessary folder options setup. Desktop.ini?

There are a couple of ways Microsoft hide files. Here how to change them. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders". Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Click OK.

also c$ is a share for administrators only, are you one?.
if your settings allow to see all files, you should be able to see them using the command line.
explorer has a special behaviour on the Temporary Internet Files, it shows only IE temp files and cookies, a bit like the fonts folder where only fonts are shown.
or try to move the file using a command line:
move \\kelly-service\c$\Documents and Settings\kelly.service\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\olk9 c:\

that would be a local folder, not on yr server... is yr login the same name as yr server or what?

Forget the server. This is a local machine.

If you can see te file when doing 'Save As...', have you tried either dragging it to your desktop, or copy/paste it somewhere?

one thing you have not tried, do you have a local ISP post office  that stores your emails, can you log onto this ISP and your mail . It usualy keeps a copy of all your emails for a period of time. Open that email at the ISP Post Office and save as.
Are you using Outlook Express?
Check in the store folder. Tools options maintinence. store folder.

 I use a small email program as a back up for this kind of thing, install it and run it ...it will download all the emails currently in the post office, and will probably re-download this email for you,  it can run alongside of outlook express and check emails before you receive them.

Subfolder OLK9 under Temporary Internet files folder is not easy to navigate. Easiest way is:
Click on Start, click on Search, goto more advanced options, click search hidden files and folders. It is not clicked by default. Type OLK9 in the search box. This should return the OLK9 folder. Double click on it to open it.

Yep, its always gonna be a problem.  I haven't found a way to actually browse to that folder, but you can get to it by other methods.

So, as you can see, you can change the location to a folder that you CAN browse to by going to this key and changing (or adding) the SecureTempFolder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security

Now I've tried every option I can think of to get this folder to show up, but with no luck.  Combinations of ShowSuperHidden, showing system files, etc etc (all the steps you've done and were re-suggested above).  The only way to get to the existing one (as far as I know) is to navigate to the Temporary Internet Files folder, and then in the address bar type in the OLK9 and hit Enter to go to the folder.  You can also see the folder  from the command prompt (in Temp Internet Files folder, type in "dir /ad").  

Hope that helps (well, a little anyway, I think its still going to be impossible to browse there)!
