Sudden shutdown of PC on starting applications

Recently I noticed when i work in ms words, excel or pw and then try to open any pop up menus especially when clicking on small double arrow on those menus the pc suddenlly shut down and i have to switch it on again from power supply. it was initially coming only when i work in office application but then it start to happen even if i open the control panel and click any icon in the control panel. is there any explanation for this
