The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. This statement was made by an expert on EE and I would like to explore it's validity.
98SE is one of the greatest and most flexible OSs ever written, much more extensible than either 2000 or NT, far from "primitive".

The comment goes on to state:
There is little difference between XP and 98 in this need [I assume "this need" is referring to the topic of the question the comment was posted it. specifically, obtaining system information remotely].  You can only get so much information remotely, to get the full system specs, you go to the machine and run Sandra or WCPUID, or windows SYSINFO.  But since your systems are likely configured much the same, if a large company, perhaps one or two will comprise the right "profile".  

I'm inviting the person who made this statement to participate in this question... but I have my doubts he'll show up or even subscribe to it.
