I have trying to trouble shoot for my friends computer. To main problems, on booting up she gets this message right after she puts in her password. the message is this:
Windows cannot load the users profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system
Detail the system has to load or restore a file into the registry but the specified file is not in a registry file format .
that message appears everytime. Im not sure how to resolve this problem and i even tried to do a system restore as far back as oct but it will not let me.
Second issue is she will be using the computer and it will freeze. Doesnt seem to be a specific program when it happens.
I have run the free version of ewido/malware, spybot and easy cleaner and have found quite a few trojan horse /virus and worms that have been cleared out but im sure there are other issues.
