Using XP, IE6 SP2. Sometimes (too often) when I click on a control on a web page it doesn't do anything. Invariable the microhelp text in the bottom of the IE bar says javascript:void(0). If exit and restart IE, or sometimes log off and log on again, and reopen the same web page then the control works.
What the heck is going on here ??

Any luck other than that? with with the web pages? Sometimes.
I suppose its not easy to replicate the problem.
To check if your browser has JavaScript enabled?
You normally do this by checking your browser's options. Internet Explorer (6.0):
Go to Tools from the top menu
Select Internet Options
Click on the Security tab
Click Custom Level
Scroll down until you see the Scripting section
Ensure that the Active Scripting option is set at Enabled
allow all cookies as well.
Rockjodo,
When the time comes for AV renewal (on a home computer).
Download AVG-free or AVAST-free, uninstall that blankety-blank Norton stuff and set yourself free.
Use the Control Panel applet "Add/Remove" programs; which will partially remove some of the stuff from Norton, then use this:
NoNav
http://symantec.netvision.
Download the most current .exe or .zip file and install

Hi Rockjodo,
Have you run all of the updates from MS for IE6 (don't allow IE7).
They made some changes to IE6 for Java scripting and you may need to check the Windows Update site.
Post back when you can.
