Netlogon and RPC starting

Hi,

Netlogon and RPC are not starting on a machine installed with Windows 2000 ser and windows 2003.They were first added to a domain and then removed.These machines are isolated from the network and both these machines are interconnected.Please tell me a way to start these services as only then can i do the testing.

did you check event viewer for enent id?

Hi Guys,

bsharath, The netlogon service is only used by machines that are domain members. You stated that the machine has been removed from the domain and therefore netlogon is not required.

RPC however is different in as much as it should start on a host that is not a member of a domain as it is a required component for things such a COM.

Do please post any Event ID's that are being logged in the Event Viewer.
