Automating utilities

Asked by ellitech in Operating Systems Miscellaneous, FoxPro Database, ERP Software

We have an ERP system running on a SQL database. There are three different tables that are still left running in Visual Fox Pro. We have a Re-indexing utility that has been provided from the ERP manufacturer. We need to re-index these tables on a regular basis as these tables contain the user information required to login into and use the ERP software.

I have setup batch files that will shutdown all required applications and execute the re-indexing utility that we need to run on a regular basis. However, you are still required to click on 'NEXT' as well as select each table that is to be re-indexed.

I am interested in automating this task as it will have to be run at odd hours. How can I set it up to run automatically?

Is there a third-party software that I can use to execute the required keystrokes to allow the re-indexing utility to run automatically?Start Free Trial
