Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be anything like MS_PSCHEDMP active or otherwise when I use the listsvc command..

Browse All TopicsI'm trying to complete a repair installation of XP Home SP2 but it hangs on 34 minutes. This seems a fairly common problem. I've checked the pnplog.txt and setupapi.log files for any clues and the last entries seem to point to the file MS_PSCHEDMP which seems to be something to do with networking but I'm not sure what to do to get beyond this problem.
Any idea's what I can try to resolve this problem??

What sometimes works is disabling as much hardware as you can from the bios. Some high-end pc's have onboard SATA controllers which are not in use, and you should try disabling those. Furthermore, you should try to disable the onboard USB, onboard networking, onboard sound, etc...
Then try the repair install again.
Hope his helps!

Hi dercoss
c then look for MS_PSCHEDMP , if it is active,
Try the fowlling, turn on computer, boot from windows xp cd, on the first screen press, R to acess recovery console, then select installation, pass, etc..
Then type c:\windows\system32\listsv
The system services and drivers can then be enabled and disabled by using the enable command and disable command.
Best regards
