I have a brand new Dell PowerEdge T300 server and I am trying to install Windows 2003 server on it. I used the Dell setup CD to configure RAID and for the OS install. The Windows setup progresses to the point of telling me that there are 37 minutes left to complete installation when it blue screens with the error "irql_not_less_or_equal". This error usually indicates a driver issue I believe but the disk should be blank.

Can you try with another Hard-Disk and if you recently add any memory upgradtion to your server then remove and then check and also call to dell support about win2003 server compatibility to your new server or is it came with another operating system.....?

This kind of thing is normally related to as the previous experts said memory. The only other culprit i have found with this issue is the windows installation itself (had one last week) but since you have not yet installed it, it can't be that unless your trying to upgrade (or in this case probably downgrade in terms of year released anyway) from whatever OS came with your new system. If this is the case try wipeing the hard drive first and doing a clean install.

Try this too. You could potentially have a bad stick of memory. Reseat all your sticks and try again. If you continue to get the error, remove one stick at a time until you narrow it down. I know this is a pain...
