I would do a virus/spyware scan in both Normal Mode and in Safe Mode.

Browse All TopicsMy Task Manager shows the CPU pinned out at 100%, and the only process I can see operating is hppusg.exe, occupying 16,692k memory and CPU 95-99%. Does anybody know what this process is, and why it never seems to stop?
I think my computer is slowed down significantly by this process. Is it OK just to "End Process"?

It's nothing nasty, just an annoyance from HP
You can either disable it or rename it as it isn't essential

go to start>run>msconfig
ombofix/ho w-to-use-c ombofix
php
uncheck all programs except the antivirus ,restart the PC and try
then
scan for virsues and spyware
download spybot Search & Destroy
www.safer-networking.org/
and combofix:
www.bleepingcomputer.com/c
and malwarebyte
www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.
