Question

Driver for Samsung HP compatible?

Asked by: pjr

Does anybody know where I can get a
printer driver for a
Samsung SL-1051A HP LaserJet Series II
compatible printer?

(It works fine in most respects and it
works perfectly in
Windows (not Win-OS/2), but each and
every print job from
OS/2 and Win-OS/2 is preceded by a
single sheet with the
letters 'TS' in the top left hand
corner.  This not only
wastes trees but is annoying as hell.)

Actually any solution will be welcome -
I'm only presuming
that there is an incompatibility
between the OS/2 HP
LaserJet Series II driver and the
printer.

I'm using version 30.519 of the
LASERJET.DRV, so please don't suggest
that I go looking for the latest
driver.

Go to the IBM OS/2 Device Depository and check there to see if there are any new updates to the printer drivers, this is one facet of OS/2 that is always being updated and is one reason the WEB site is a great asset to us OS/2 Users
