Generic text only printer driver needed

I need to be able to print from OS/2 programs on a Warp 4 system to a text only printer.  Therefore I need a generic, text only, printer driver.  I'm sure one must exist, but I can't find it in the list of printer drivers on the PC.  I believe Windows printer drivers can be used on OS/2, but I think they only work with Windows programs.

Have you looked at:
http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/html/printers/
and tried a "generic-EPSON-9-pin" or "24-pin" printer?

Yes, I've tried the generic Epson drivers, but they still send the text in graphics mode.  The give-away is that they specify the number of pins, text only drivers wouldn't care how many pins there were.  I suppose what I need is a daisywheel printer driver.

By the way, I made a mistake in the original posting,  it's actually OS/2 Warp V3 not V4, though I don't think that should matter.

Try:
http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/html/printers/ibmcorpo/
and selecting the "IBM-null" printer.

From the documentation IBMNULL looks like it should work.  However, when the program writes to the printer, a file TXTPRT is created in the queue but it's never printed.  As a test I tried a graphics printer and its driver and it printed correctly, but I want to use a text only printer if possible.  Have you any suggestions why the TXTPRT file gets stuck?

I was unable to get the TXTPRT print jobs to print out and I eventually had to go with a new (Postscript) printer.  However I think you deserve the points for your help.
