In Internet Options, Advanced, Settings, all the advanced settings have disappeared. There is a box saying Restore Advanced Settings, which requires a Restart. However, when I click this box, this is the error I come up with:
RUNDLL
An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell
Also I having clicked Restore Advanced Settings, restarted, notwithstanding the error, and the problem remains the same. Namely, the Restore Advanced Settings box is blank/empty, and clear.
I am unsure what has happened exactly. I did a restore after some problems with Kaspersky Internet Security 6 . I use a Dell Optiplex GX 260 desktop computer with XP Home SP 2, LAN (Ethernet), ADSL2+ and a Netcomm NB 5 modem. My web browsers are - IE 7 with Google as a default. I have Kaspersky Internet Security 6. I do an occasional full computer scan with XP Repair Pro 2007 , Microsoft Live OneCare Safety Scanner, the Dell PC Checker.
The Solution/s are - * if any *??
*THANKS
Robert
