Question
I must search for a hidden file using [Admin Edit to remove this reference - Vee_Mod]
1) I am trying to recover the password for my empowering technology for acer.
2) I have [Admin Edit to remove this reference - Vee_Mod] I have it in my PC. How do I create a CD from it or whatever I have to do. and which utility do I use to look for a hidden file in the partition?
here is what I found about finding the password in Acer:
Option #1
Acronis Disk Director to show app partion, and I was amased that this prog was able to alter the AIMDRS.DAT file on the fly, BTW file was located in root of PQSERVICE disc.
Option #2...
Booted with Ubuntu 7.10 Live Cd.
Browsed to PQSERVICE hidden partition.
Opened "aimsdrs.dat" with text editor. (in root folder not "tools")
and "password" PD= "____" and "hint" HD="____"
are given and can be edited.
I am pasting an image with the utilities contained in the [Admin Edit to remove this reference - Vee_Mod] folder.
