The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Dual Boot--Vista 32 + Vista64 Possible? Setup? How best to do.

Asked by RobNC in Windows Vista, OS/2 Setup, Disk Partition Tools

Some answered questions and the knowledge base have touched on these...but I'm interested in specific recommnedations.
II expect some who see this will have seen me before! I've been messing with a new build for a couple of months! With the help of a discussion here and some other research )and experimenting...(have to give some credit here to Mr Bott!) I think I know what I want...ideally. First the basics of what I've decided then I'll finally get to the question!!!! I have a 150gig Raptor which I'm planning on separating into several partitions.....OS....Another OS.....Programs.....Data (which I may separate on other partitions also, maybe have pictures on a separate partition)..and data may "spill over" to a second "regular" 320gig drive...I'll also use the second drive for a very good back up plan. Now the question!!!!

I still don't quite trust Vista 64....so I'm a bit vexed. If I'm going to separate like above and have the OS on it's own partition, Vista 64...can I go back and replace it with Vista 32 without everthing else being effected? How about a dual boot of 64 and 32 (I have V Ultimnate)? Is it possible? (technically and with msft) If it is what is the best way to set it up? Would either one I chose at startup have "access" to all the programs on yet another partition?

I'm trying to find "the final solution", and feel like I'm very close. So if anyone has comments about the whole idea or setup, please chime in. (I'm not going into the final Vista setup itself...no desktop icons..maximum use of the tray and tool bars)Start Free Trial
