Asked by billma in Windows XP Embedded, OS / 2 Operating System, InstallShield
I down loaded install packages directly from the HP website onto the thinclient and executed the run box. (universal drivers, Java, Adobe Reader, Activex,) Taking note in the code snippit I pasted the txt giving instructions that a -s switch must be used for installing the software, no mention of this until the download and run was executed ! Is it possible to install these packages from the thin client command line ? I do not have a "server" network that I am connected to....I am using a HP t5720 with XPE 2 version 5.1.336....
I have absolutely no experience on the server end....I do have 2 proliant servers with 2003 r2.....Any help is well appreciated as I can not bare to read another document that leaves me clueless !!
Thanks
Bill

The install package, Add_Sun_Java_VM_1.00_A1.exe contains only files
for installing Sun Java VM. It does not execute some commands that are
needed to complete the installation of the component. To successfully deploy this
component to the client, the following steps need to be done.
1) The Add_Sun_Java_VM_1.00_A1.exe program must be executed using
the "-s" switch. If this programs are not executed using the "-s" switch, the
programs may not run correctly.
