SNMP questions on AIX

So it appears that snmp is running on my AIX 5.1 machine.  At least the process snmpd is running.  Also when I run: snmpinfo -m dump ibm  I get this: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.2.1.1.1.0 = 32771.  I am trying to get Whats Up Gold to see it and it is not cooperating with me.  Is there a way for me to see what Whats Up gold should be seeing?  Is there maybe a simple windows product that I can use to test whether snmp is actually working?  Any help with getting Whats Up Gold working with this machine would be appreciated.
